Currently, Manuel Guiu Casanova's great-grandson, Jordi Guiu (1976) , a graduate in International Trade from UPF, is carrying out the next generational handover.
In 1983, we began offering exclusive preparation courses for university entrance exams , pioneering this type of instruction nationwide. In 1991, building on this extensive experience, we started offering courses for international students with recognized qualifications.

Students who have studied at public or private schools and institutes must abide by the decision of our academic council. We will then develop a personalized credit transfer plan in accordance with the original curriculum.
The final grade must be equal to or greater than 5. The result obtained in the test is worth 40%, the remaining 60% will be obtained with the overall grade of the baccalaureate.
This order must be established at the time of pre-registration. It is important to know the order of the degrees, as it cannot be changed once this document has been submitted. Please note that you can choose up to eight degrees.
Each university degree has a cut-off score. To gain admission, you will need to meet or exceed the cut-off score for the degree you wish to pursue. Keep in mind that the most competitive degrees have higher cut-off scores.
First and foremost, you must be very punctual. It is very important to arrive at the exams with enough time to get settled and review the material if necessary. That said, unforeseen circumstances can always arise. If you have any problems with public transport, for example, you should request a note to avoid any issues when taking the exams. In this regard, an unjustified delay could result in being denied the exams and, therefore, the automatic loss of the exam opportunity.
Regarding exam venues, you should know that in the days leading up to the exams you can check the venues on the Generalitat's website (for the University Entrance Exams) or on the UNED's website (for the University Entrance Exams for foreign students). In addition, each university will provide the schedules and venues for its exams.
What should the study environment be like?
• The chair should be suitable for the body position but not too comfortable to avoid falling asleep.
• The lighting should be correct and positioned opposite the arm you use for writing. That is, if you are right-handed, it's best if the light comes from the left. Additionally, it's recommended that the light have a blue bulb and be 60W. The rest of the room should be dimly lit.
• It is also important to have all the materials we might need available at the time of study.
• With all this in mind, they also recommend that the study be done at an individual level to achieve greater concentration.
How many hours should I study daily?
• For those aged 13 to 20, it is recommended to study for 2 to 3 hours a day, depending on individual needs, always planning what will be studied. Study materials should be organized to avoid accumulating assignments at the end of the school year. Furthermore, it is firmly established that the recommended amount of sleep is 6 to 8 hours each night; this is crucial for carrying out all activities effectively.
